Baltimore Neighborhood Collaborative (BNC) is a funder collaborative that brings local and national funders, public sector agencies, business and civic organizations together to strategically invest in the community. Community Law Center is a nonprofit public interest law firm which provides legal services and technical assistance to improve the quality of life and economic viability of communities. The Law Center represents clients in litigation, corporate, and real estate transactions, and in other relevant matters. Enoch Pratt Free Library offers free workshops for individuals, nonprofits, and businesses on starting and operating a nonprofit or small business. Maryland Volunteer Legal Services (MVLS) provides free or reduced fee representation to low-income individuals and non-profits who have civil legal problems throughout Maryland. Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations provides training and technical assistance, including in depth consulting services and customized training, on all aspects of nonprofit governance and management. Maryland Downtown Development Association (MDDA) is a statewide organization that advocates for the health and vitality of Maryland's charming main streets and bustling downtowns. Maryland Small Business Development Center provides low cost training and no cost consulting to small businesses throughout Maryland. Microenterprise Council of Maryland provides technical assistance and resources to organizations, agencies and municipalities assisting or wanting to assist entrepreneurs starting or expanding microbusinesses. Montgomery Chamber of Commerce offers a one-stop shop for free business plan consultations, low-cost training, access to finance, business education and access to prospective clients and customers in Montgomery County. Morgan State University's Entrepreneurial and Assistance Center (EDAC) utilizes the support and participation of Morgan State University sources to assist entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs. The target populations for the EDAC are minorities, women, and micro enterprises. Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation provides national and regional training and capacity building for community development leaders, practitioners and professionals. National Main Street Center provides technical assistance and information services in the field of commercial district revitalization to housing and community development groups. Practical Research provides performance measures and organizational evaluations for nonprofits and for profits. SCORE of Maryland is a volunteer organization providing business counseling without charge. Small Business Administration (SBA) helps entrepreneurs start, build and grow businesses through an extensive network of field offices and partnerships with public and private organizations. Small Business Resource Center provides technical assistance to microenterprises, small business and organizations who are looking for business assistance. University of Baltimore School of Law Community Development Clinic assists community associations, non-profit organizations, and small business owners with the legal aspects of formation, operations and financing, land use, real estate acquisition and other matters. University of Maryland School of Law Community Development Clinic represent nonprofit and community based organizations engaging in community redevelopment, entity formation and operation, development of affordable housing and compatible real estate development activities, and economic development. University of Maryland School of Social Work provides organizational development, community building and fundraising assistance. |
